You might also like Lower Plenty. Loving the surrounding parks, GP, dentist, woolies close to where we live. Parkmore shopping centre could be a little rowdy at times and the parking is a little messy, but overall acceptable to get a great variety of food and grocery. A great place to live My biggest complaint is the super slow Internet.. At times I often struggle to view a YouTube video which is pathetic! The next annoyance in living here is the weekend drag racing which we can hear possibly coming from greens Rd or the dandenong bypass..

This is a weekly occurrence I think the police can't be bothered with. Growing up in Noble Park as a kid was always fun, moved yo Narre Warren as a late teen, to South Yarra in early 20s and then to Bentleigh. Soon will find my way back to where I started in Keysborough, next to Noble Park. I wanted to build but didn't want to move too far out from the CBD. Being only 25kms from the city, 5kms from the beach seemed like the perfect option.

Local shopping is perfect and love being able to go to Springvale next door to get a cheap asian feast. This suburb will only get better. Due to the affordability in the new estates only the middle class will move in, meaning it will be safer and friendlier environment. Cant wait to move in. It's a lovely place to live, it has Parkmore, a prestigious school and a decent pub. But there's nothing else going for it, Keysborough is just plain boring.

It's not close to any train station and even when you make the 10 minute drive to Noble Park station, there's never any parking. Keysborough is extremely overpriced, and people there have payed to much to live there. I think its a great place to invest, but if you were planning on living there everyday i would recommend going somewhere more lively, and interesting.

Keysy is boring, unless you like simple things then Keysborough is prefect for you! I moved here from just down the road expecting a lot more but so far, I haven't seen that "more". I hate being woken by the builders banging and hammering away! The area is still growing so I'm expecting changes to come. There are no milk bars that are in close walking distance to get milk etc. Moved into the new Somerfield Estate in Keysborough and what a great move it has been.

We are a young family and there are plenty of parks and schools around. Neighbours are all very friendly and are either young couples starting out or families. Keysborugh is situated in a great location because its not too far from the city but far enough that you dont get the drunks and knife fights of the inner city. Very safe suburb, take walks with the little one all the time and never felt unsafe. As mentioned i work in the inner city and there are places i wouldnt take my kids around there, see drug deals in broad daylight.

Alot of shopping options, Parkmore is quite good for the day to day stuff but you also have Chadstone, Southland and Dandenong that are not very far, all within 15 mintues.

Food spots in the area are not bad, mainly fast food but there are a few restuarants popping up. Optical fibre in the new estates makes the internet a dream and recycle water is also a good addition for the garden, don't have to worry about water restrictions. All in all a great place to raise a family.

Seen a few negative comments on this site, but they just seem to be from people who wish they could live in the suburb but cant afford it Drug deals and hoons everywhere. Just a migrant dumping ground! I totally agree I feel so safe here and have only lived her one week and already have lots of friends! Our 5 year old daughter knows all the neighborhood kids its incredible the sense of community!

I love living here! Coming from living in a snobby neighborhood in bentleigh which was more about what car you drove and what your occupation was than what type of person you were. Here it's amazing the diversity you have people from all over the world. Half our area doesn't speak English very well but we all have the commonality of wanting the best for our kids and communicate just fine. We love it in Keysborough, we are in one of estates and love all the parks and reserves. There are always lovely places to take walks and playgrounds for the kids to play.

It is also very quite and the people are nice and friendly. Overall a great suburb with nice houses, nice parks, great amenities and still good value for money.

Ok, in reply to the 2 reviews below: Let's be fair! Waterways is NOT part of Keysborough, its actually a different suburb, so mentions of flooding that occurred there shouldn't even be mentioned in a review for Keysborough. Secondly, since when does having Vietnamese or Indian families living in a suburb make it a bad one?! We are all Australians in the end aren't we? And now for the proper review: We've found Keysborough to be a lovely, peaceful place to live in and its a fantastic place to bring up our young family.

Its quiet, safe, and provides a lot of good local amenities Parkmore shopping center is a godsend! Yes, the blocks in the new estates are getting smaller and smaller, but what else is new? Market gardens were not so profitable on the sandy soil as transport to Melbourne became cheaper. Soon afterwards Haileybury College, Hampton, established a second campus in anticipation of its coming school catchment area.

In there were about families and other addresses in Keysborough and the suburbanisation of Keysborough north occurred during the late s and s. Similarly the Catholic primary school was for Noble Park families. However, the Keysborough name emerged with the Keysborough technical school c in Henderson Road, and Cheltenham Road had the Keysborough Hotel, bowling club and public reserve.

The Parkmore drive in shopping centre is in Cheltenham Road and had grown to sub-regional status by the s. There are several parks and reserves, including the Roth Hetherington Australian flora reserve, and the Keysborough Golf Club borders the remaining farm areas in the south.

The golf club began in in Albert Park and transferred to Keysborough in , with facilities limited to a Nissen hut club house and a fibro cement dining room set among snaky wild grass. All these draw from catchments in Dandenong South and Noble Park. Lastly, the Methodist church was acquired by a Samoan congregation.
