Where is foxwoods resort

We booked 2 connected rooms on the 9th floor of the Grand Pequot Tower. The rooms were located through the spa area and were very clean. I am not a big gambler but there are plenty of things to do no matter what time of day.

We tried out the main casino for our tower before heading to the Hard Rock Cafe. It was not my first choice but one of the only place there that would take more than a 6 person reservation.

Overall the food was actually pretty good and it was a casual environment to have a few drinks before the concert. The grand theater is a smaller music venue but was a blast. We ended the night with a drink at Sugar Factory. We ended up staying for the day on Sunday and there was plenty to do. First I will start with the bad.

There was a handful of tables filled at around 11am for brunch which should have been the first red flag. We had a group of 6 for brunch and were seated right away. The service was great to start but once we ordered it all went downhill. We then asked for the check and were told they refuse to split the check more that 3 ways. Not a great start to Sunday Funday but thankfully it went uphill from there.

We walked around the outlet malls for a little while then headed to the fox tower to try the Monza indoor go karting. It was a blast although those karts do fly and the track is pretty tight. Depending on the group you get matched with it can get pretty competitive. We spent the rest of the day at the casinos and watched some of the NFL games on the floor. We ended the day with dinner at Alta Strada. Overall the trip was great.

Prior to departing I called the Foxwoods casino and inquired what their minumum table stakes were for Blackjack. When I arrived at am on a Thursday I discovered that this was untrue. The hotel and casino are very nice, however, due to the false information provided by the concierge I will never return. Sightseer 4 contributions. This is supposed to be their superior hotel. The carpet was stained and dirty looking. The furniture had holes and stains in the material. The towels and sheets were old and worn. It needs to be updated with a fresh coat of paint, new linens, and carpeting. Have stayed at Foxwoods in the past and one can easily see this place going downhill.

The casino should invest in the hotels overall maintenance instead of a new parking garage. See you at Mohegan Sun. Took our first trip to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. We stayed at Two Trees Inn at Foxwoods. Room was OK, nothing special. Shuttle to casino was nice, but left you about feet from the door. No big deal unless it is raining or cold. I don't know why they cant figure out how to make the bus stop in front of the door.

Foxwoods casino was big, almost too big. It is actually six casinos linked by shopping arcades. Very confusing to a first time visitor. We were seated at a table for two, even though bigger tables were available. This never happens at most restaurants. We also gambled at Mohegan Sun. This place was the most attractive casino I have ever been in, and I have visited almost every casino in the US! If there is a next time for visiting this area, we will stay and play at Mohegan.
